Hagley Museum
Joni's favorite school field trip! Along the banks of the Brandywine, Hagley was the gunpowder mills of the DuPont family. You can tour the powder works, the homes of the workers, and more. It's a must for history-buffs.
Delaware Art Museum
Check out the amazing Pre-Raphaelite collection, works by Howard Pyle (his famous "The Mermaid" can be seen here!), Chihuly glass, and the sculpture garden.

One of the most exquisite gardens you will ever see. Beautiful in any season, October kicks off their Chrysanthemum Festival -- which also features a sweet model train exhibit.
Booths Corner Farmers Market
Right across the border in Pennsylvania, Booths Corner Farmer's Market is a great place to find produce and baked goods from nearby Amish communities. There are also great bargains and interesting crafts to be found.
