Gina and Rob’s story began thanks to a swipe right on Bumble. They often joke that Bumble should be sponsoring their wedding — after all, it brought them together at just the right time. Their first date took place at Zerbo’s Market & Bistro in Commerce, Michigan. Rob, a little flustered after running late, worried he had blown it — but as soon as they sat down, the nerves melted away. The connection was instant. That night ended with a kiss in the parking lot, and the beginning of something truly special. To this day, they return to Zerbo’s every year to celebrate their anniversary. Throughout the summer of 2023, Gina and Rob’s bond grew stronger with every concert, weekend getaway, and introduction to friends and family. Rob, who knew early on that Gina was someone special, made sure everyone close to him got to know her — and it didn’t take long for everyone to see exactly what he saw. Some of their biggest milestones came that fall. Gina joined Rob’s family on their beloved annual trip to Charlevoix, Michigan — a tradition that means a lot to Rob. Not long after, Rob traveled with Gina and her family to Cabo for her brother Anthony’s wedding, an important moment where he deepened his bond with Gina’s loved ones. Beyond the big moments, it’s the little things that brought them even closer: a shared love for fitness, discovering new music, savoring good food, social nights out, cozy Netflix marathons, and simply enjoying each other's company. As they built a life together, they celebrated career successes, personal milestones (including Gina’s incredible running streaks), and countless everyday moments that strengthened their partnership. When it came time to propose, Rob planned carefully. He wanted to create something unforgettable for Gina. He chose Gilly’s Rooftop in Downtown Detroit — one of their favorite spots — for its beautiful skyline views and the memories they had already made there. Disguising the evening as a “charity event,” Rob made sure Gina would be dressed up and glowing for the big moment. With the Detroit skyline as their backdrop, Rob got down on one knee and asked Gina to spend forever with him. She said yes — and the celebration began. Together, Gina and Rob share a relationship built on patience, communication, laughter, and endless support. They share the same values, dreams, and even the same love languages. Above all, they bring out the best in each other. Now, they can't wait to start the next chapter of their lives — building a family, creating new memories, and celebrating all of life’s milestones together.
