we are getting married

To say it was love at first sight is so far from reality. Both Rob and I have very strong personalities. We are both what we like to call an acquired taste, so at first I do not think either one of us had eyes for each other. We met at Connect Community Church. As we began to hang out in friend groups, we realized we had more in common than not. I think that is when the sparks started flying. He would say Baxter, his 4lb Yorkie, brought us together. He says Baxter told him in secret that I was the one. Rob and I first developed a friendship and I believe that is what has kept us together during some of our toughest moments.

We started dating in the summer of 2018. We both do not remember the exact date, but it happened beach side at Bolivar Beach. Our favorite dates usually center around chips and salsa. We have spent many date nights at Chuy's. We also love to sit and watch TV or a good movie together. Some of our favorite dates happen around the table with our close friends talking about our future, laughing, and spending time together.

Rob planned the perfect day to ask me to marry him. We were at Froberg's Farms and Pumpkin Patch. We were taking maternity pictures for a family member, and he asked if I would want to take a few pictures with him. I knew this was weird considering Robert hates pictures, but I agreed! We stood in front of an old truck smiling for pictures when he asked me if I wanted to hold a pumpkin. I turned to a huge pumpkin sitting next to me and said, "This might be way too big for me to hold." Then he handed me a small pumpkin with the words, "will you marry me?" written on it and the ring on the stem. It was perfect and so sweet and so much more than I could have hoped for.
