We met at the 'Hot Rods for Hunger' Car Show on July 10, 2021. The Car Show was a benefit for The Storehouse Food Pantry, where I worked at the time. The Chairman of our Board, Nathan Sanchez had the idea to raise money by hosting a car show with his car club, Mopar Most Wanted. On the hottest Saturday of the year, I spent the day sweating, selling raffle tickets, and registering cars along with the club's activity director, Ashlee Laughlin. I couldn't stop staring at the tall, handsome man parking everyone's cars, who seemed to bring laughter everywhere he went. I also noticed the F8 Green Hellcat he drove. He did a few 'ring checks' and kept offering to help Ashlee and I. Finally, Ashlee asked if I was single. She gave me his number, and our conversations lasted well into the following morning. We have continued to fall more and more in love every day since.
