We met on a not-so-blind date that Robert's coworker, and his wife, set us up on. After a few Facebook messages, we planned a double date with them and met on February 9th, 2019, at the Grizzly Rose for a Stoney Larue concert. After 11 months of on-and-off dating, we made it official in October of that year but broke up on New Year's Eve (Thanks, Robert!). Robert then realized he couldn't live without me ;), and on January 19th, 2020, we not only made it official but said, 'I love you' for the first time. The start of our relationship was not perfect, but we both saw something in each other. Over the next two years, we spent almost every weekend together before he asked me to move in on our 2-year dating anniversary. A few months later, in February of 2022, I officially moved in. Although Robert was still getting used to having animals around (Cody & Mayhem), it did not take him long to fall in love and treat them like his own. He then agreed to get our first dog together. We brought Boone home in December of that same year. Over the next two years, we got to know each other's families, went on trips, did home improvement projects, and I impatiently waited for him to pop the question. On Christmas morning, opening presents, just Robert and I and the three animals. He got down on one knee, and before he could get out, 'Will you marry me?' I was crying on the living room floor. Here we are a year later, planning to get married on May 31st, 2025. Planning our wedding has been a rollercoaster, but we are so excited for the wedding, our honeymoon trip to Hawaii, and most of all, to start our life as Mr. & Mrs. Waltke.
