Bri and Rob first met in the early summer of 2023 when they started working at the same accounting firm. Despite Rob's reserved nature, Bri's curiosity and persistence in getting to know him over the coming weeks formed a great friendship that turned into much more. Bri and Rob found themselves at their first company summer kickball game together and then later celebrating a kickball win at a local Albany bar where Bri and Rob did not stop talking all night. Bri and Rob quickly bonded over their shared love for baseball and IPAs. Fast forward two weeks, Bri continued to slyly ask Rob to meet her a Lionheart on the Green (local bar) to have a beer and play cornhole without crossing the co-worker line. Rob was on the same page as Bri and then and there they knew this was to be more than a co-worker relationship. On July 30, 2023, with a little help and hints from Bri, Rob asked Bri to be his girlfriend. Over the course of the next year and a half they spent time traveling to Sleepy Hollow Lake, Rhode Island and even Italy on a family vacation. It was in Italy where their relationship really blossomed as they spent most nights during this trip dining at restaurants in Rome, Sorrento and Florence getting to know each other at a deeper level forming a truly strong bond. It was after this trip that Rob knew Bri was the one. Fast forward another few months - Bri and Rob have moved in together, Rob found his dream job, became a cat dad, and Bri and Rob still enjoy playing kickball together every Thursday. In June of 2025, Bri, Rob and the rest of the Muenkel family headed out for a hike on what Bri thought would be a normal day with her family. As they made their way up the mountain, Rob only had one thing on his mind - making sure everything was perfect for his soon to be fiancé. When they arrived at one of the waterfalls on the trail he convinced Bri to take some pictures on a rock in front of the waterfall. While her family was taking pictures Rob got down on one knee and proposed. Without hesitation Bri smiled and said yes!
