Despite unexpected obstacles disrupting Robert’s initial plan to propose at the restaurant on my birthday, he gracefully adjusted and chose to propose in the warmth of our home. In a moment when I least expected celebration, he turned the ordinary into extraordinary. Reflecting on that night, I’m still captivated by the love and thoughtfulness of this incredible man. My heart remains in perpetual awe of him. ❤️

Our Love Story

#ForeverBrown

In 2014, I returned home to celebrate CCC’s annual homecoming, a vibrant event in our town. Amidst the parade, I spotted Robert on his motorcycle, and a daring comment slipped from my lips. My daughter, overhearing, urged us to leave. As the town gathered for post-parade festivities, I couldn’t shake thoughts of him. Describing him to friends and cousins, I hoped someone would recognize him. Unbeknownst to me, Robert was on the other side of the yard, inquiring about me to my cousin Lasonia. In a whirlwind moment orchestrated by my cousin, I found myself face-to-face with him. Shy and uncharacteristically so, we exchanged a few words without swapping numbers. That night, he searched every club hoping to find me again, but I retired early for a drive back to Georgia the next morning. A week later, we exchanged numbers through Facebook, talking for five hours straight. It was then that I realized I had known him most of my life through his sister, Angelica. Time had passed, and I hadn’t recognized him. Angelica even recalled a moment when Robert pulled up, and I apparently made a comment she had to hush. I can’t remember that till this day! But it sounds like me!😩😂 Robert confessed he had silently observed me for years, following me on social media, yet never mustering the courage to approach. Finally, in November 2014, during my Thanksgiving visit back home, we officially met. From there, we became inseparable, realizing we had been in the same places countless times without noticing each other. Our love story unfolded in God’s perfect timing, and we remain grateful for the serendipity that brought us together.
