What precautions are in place to minimize the risk of COVID-19?

Answer

Vaccines have been proven safe and effective in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and the incidence of severe disease. No vaccine is 100 percent effective, of course, so our medical advisers have recommended a two-test protocol for our indoor event. If you've been fully vaccinated and had a booster, see FAQ below. To ensure as carefree a celebration as possible, all attendees must present a PCR COVID test —to be scheduled 72 hours prior to the event, on Thursday, November 4— followed by an at-home rapid antigen test on Sunday, November 7. Where can I buy at-home COVID-19 test kits, and what is the cost?

At-home test kits, such as BinaxNOW, are available at Walgreens, CVS, Target, and other stores. Some drugstores have a hard time keeping them in stock, so you might want to stop by for one, or order online, very soon. What about boosters? Will they help?

Indeed. The CDC recommends boosters to anyone vaccinated 6 months ago or more. If you've been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and had a booster, call or text Mireille at 312-543-7795.

Yes! We'll be celebrating one of our town's most fashionable couples. Cocktail dresses, suits, gowns, and tuxedos welcome.

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Marchesa has no valet service, but ample street and lot parking is nearby. There is street parking on Grand Avenue (westbound) and Ohio Street (eastbound); consider downloading the ParkChicago and SpotHero apps in advance. There is an outdoor lot at Franklin & Ohio and an indoor lot on Illinois, just west of Wells. Marchesa is blocks from the Merchandise Mart Brown Line stop and the Grand Red Line stop at State Street.
