Bob and Cheri first met at a little bar called Brewcaipa in Yucaipa. Vince was there with Bob and invited Cheri to come. Cheri wanted to go to a different bar but Vince talked her into it. That’s where they met. They were introduced to one another by Vince. That day the group at the bar planned a group trip to Havasu! The following day Vince and Cheri went to a BBQ and there was Bob. No biggy… lol. In between this time a group text was made with people that were invited to the Havasu trip. At some point Cheri thought “Hey.. this guy is a first responder.. we can probably relate to stuff.” Soooooo… Cheri crept out Bob’s number from the group text and began texting him. Bob and Cheri set a time to go hang out. NOT a date!!!! They ended up going to September’s in Redlands on July 25, 2022. They chatted it up, had some snacks and drinks, and this is where they realized they both wanted the same things in a relationship!! This is where it all began!!

There they were… on a little family vacation in Oceanside. This is Barb’s yearly family trip that Cheri inserted herself into!! Lol..this year Bob was lucky to join! Cheri’s parents and nephew JJ were also staying in Oceanside for the week!! Bob had the ring and was ready to go!!! He tried multiple times to make it happen, but Cheri was not going with the flow! Not knowing what the flow was of course! Bob: “Hey babe, let’s go take a walk on the pier.” Cheri: “Nah babe, let’s sit on this balcony and enjoy some beverages.” Bob: “Hey babe, let’s try that walk on the pier.” Cheri: “Let’s go over here and see if my friends are in the pool at their condo.” Hahahaha anyway… they finally made their way to the pier that day. Bob thought, “This is it!!! I’ll do this at the end of the pier!” When they got to the end of the pier there were several people fishing… no go! As they began walking back, Cheri saw a beautiful view of the sun shining on the ocean and several sailboats off in the distance. Cheri asked Bob to take a selfie with her as this was such a beautiful view. And in Bob’s mind this was IT!!! They took the selfie and Bob began his very, very, verrrrry short speech and before Cheri knew it he was on one knee. Of course she says, “Yes!!!!” And that was that.. Bob put a ring on it. The most beautiful ring Cheri could ever imagine!!
