Robert had just recently bought a house and wanted to start doing homeowners things (decorating, leaving his clothes everywhere...*news flash: he still does*) when his company got pulled to a job in Menomonie, WI to work on a big interstate project. Robert expressed his hesitancy of not wanting to spend the first months owning his own house working out of town sleeping in a hotel every night. Luckily, after some persuasion and promising the crew would only be at this job for a month, Robert agreed to go. Mother Nature had a different plan once the the crew arrived for their first day. RAIN. So Robert and his crew decided to go to the local dive bar where they heard had great food and a fun Tuesday special: Tacos and Trivia. Alivia just happen to work Tuesdays. Alivia and Robert seemed to hit it off immediately, in their own special awkward way-joking and teasing each other throughout the night. It should be noted that at this time a bet would be placed between Robert and Shawn (co-worker) that if Shawn could find Alivia on Facebook that Robert had to message her. Shawn won. Even though it wasn't until after many visits from Robert during her shifts and texting on and off throughout the weeks when Alivia would agree to go out on a date with him, she would now look back and know that July 2nd, 2019 was the night she'd start falling in love with her future husband.

It was Alivia’s birthday in which she had taken the day off as she normally does every year to celebrate and pamper herself. After getting her nails done and stopping at the local tavern with friends, she eventually made it back home right in time for dinner. Just like any special occasion, Robert and Alivia had plans to celebrate her birthday at their favorite restaurant, Cimaroli’s. But before leaving for dinner, Robert inquired if she wanted her birthday gift before going in which she replied “sure!” Without hesitation, Robert dropped to one knee in their living room and popped the long-awaited question. They were engaged (finally)!!
