How We Met

01/11/2021

John and Brynn met in college at Town & Country Foods where they worked in Bozeman, Montana. Although they worked together prior to January, their work schedules didn't align until the Spring 2021 semester where they would work the Monday morning 7AM shift together. They were put on the same two adjoining registers every morning, and with the lull in customers came chatting about everything from classes to families, hobbies and more. What began as a friendship between two coworkers would soon develop into a blooming relationship and eventually love.

Our First Date

04/30/2021

After Brynn gave John her phone number (without him asking first), John suggested that they go on a hike in Cottonwood Canyon in Bozeman. Brynn agreed since it sounded like a good way to get to know one another, but both forgot that April in Montana meant that there would still be snow and ice on the trail. Brynn, who wore running shoes and shorts on this chilly and slippery hike, fell several times; she bruised her hip and cut her leg, but she toughed through it! John made it up to her with some Panda Express and watching reruns of The Office. Brynn and John would proceed to have many more memorable dates to make up for their semi-disastrous (but unforgettable) first date.

The Proposal

08/30/2025

John proposed to Brynn at the top of Schweitzer Mountain in Sandpoint, Idaho on the weekend when they celebrated his birthday with Brynn's parents. It was just the two of them when John got down on one knee and proposed, and both wouldn't have it any other way.
