We love your kids! But our wedding will be an adults-only event to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.
Semi-formal attire is preferred, but more importantly, we want you to be comfortable and ready to dance the night away! Average temperatures in October are generally 74 during the day and 58 at night. Because some of our reception will be outside on the deck, we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket or shawl in case we experience chilly temps.
We want you to be able to really enjoy our wedding ceremony, feeling truly present and in the moment with us. We've hired an amazing wedding photographer named Kameron Goodrich who will be capturing the way the wedding ceremony looks — and we're inviting each of you to sit back, relax, and just enjoy how the wedding feels. We're respectfully asking that everyone turn off their cameras and cell phones during our ceremony. We will be sharing plenty of photos after our wedding!
Your presence at our wedding in Bald Head Island is gift enough. If you wish to purchase something off of our registry, please ship it directly to our home instead of bringing it with you. Avoid the extra baggage and save room in your suitcase for swimsuits and flip flops!
We have arranged tram service on the day of our wedding for guests not staying on the island. Trams will pick guests up from the ferry terminal at 2:30pm on the day of our wedding and transport guests to the chapel. Please plan on taking the 2pm ferry from the mainland if you plan to ride the tram to the ceremony. Our reception venue is next to the chapel and is an easy walk. We have arranged trams to take guests back to the ferry terminal for the 9:30pm and 10:30pm ferries on the evening of our wedding.
No. The island does not have a taxi service. With this in mind, if you plan to drink, we encourage you to designate a driver to get you home safely on the night of our wedding.
