Oh, to be in love.

After matching on Hinge we jumped on a phone call to get to know each other a bit, it must have gone okay because only 2 days later we had our first facetime call and it is a safe bet that this was the day Robbie fell in love. From that point on he made every effort to be on the phone with each other whenever possible. Jada was working night shift housekeeping at the hospital so Robbie stayed on the phone throughout entire shifts! Often times they would head to the gym after she got off and keep the call going into the morning hours, when we ran out of things to talk about one of us would google a question to get to know each other deeper. We watched Wandavision and Mandalorian, listened to music together, played games all via Facetime. Sometimes we arranged little facetime dates and went to the grocery together to cook the same meals like buffalo chicken sandwiches, gnocci, and pasta! Robbie would help Jada stay focused on math homework and Jada would challenge him to push up and sit up competitions to keep things interesting. Robbie sent her a gorgeous bouquet, while Jada mailed him his first love letter. Robbies coworkers knew he was smitten well before he said the words and Jada's friends knew Robbie was the reason she no longer picked up their phone calls or spent break with them. We exchanged "I love you's" in early August all the while Jada was counting down the days with a paper chain for when we would finally get to go on a date in person. When Jada finally arrived on island they were beyond excited and nervous anticipating how their introduction might go. Robbie came to the door to pick Jada up but the nerves didn't die down until about 30 minutes into the date when they finally pulled each other in for a hug and the familiarity came flooding back. From that night on they were of course inseparable, we snuck in and out of the barracks and fell head over heels in love with one another... and as they say, the rest is history!
