Of all the "fish in the sea," I am glad he found me. Although we met online, we believe fate would have brought us together nevertheless. When we decided to meet, Robbie set aside four tickets for me, along with my wingmen, to attend a Reds game and we would meet afterward. I watched anxiously from the foul line in right field as he worked meticulously. The fans sitting around me hoped to catch a foul ball, I sat hoping to catch a man's heart.
On our first morning in Honolulu, Robbie and I awoke before dawn to hike Diamond Head Trail on Mountain Leahi. Robbie, rushing with nerves, was bolting up the mountain. I, on the other hand, was so distracted in awe that I was oblivious to his nerves and urged him to slow down so I could take in the beauty of the scenery. We reached the top just as the sun was rising over the breathtaking horizon. Robbie asked nonchalantly, "Would you like a drink of water?" Distracted and looking away, I answered a simple, "Yes, please." When I turned around, I was surprised and overwhelmed to find Robbie on one knee with the ring box. My reaction was a quiet, "Seriously?" His proposal was so perfect, I could hardly believe it was truly happening. In that moment, time stopped. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
