Due to many concerns regarding travel at this time, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the wedding. A formal announcement will be coming in the mail. We hope you are able to join us on our new date, November 7th, 2022!
Whitney decided to go on a camping trip, which would typically be against her better judgement. Little did she know, she was being set up with her future husband. Rob, looking forward to a quiet weekend, was blissfully unaware of what his future held. When Whitney asked Rob to "teach" her how to play Rummy, Rob was hooked. When Rob fell for that line, Whitney was hooked. After a few months and lots of dates, they knew they had something very special.
After deciding to start a family, Whitney & Rob found out in early December 2018 they were expecting their first child. Whitney had spent several months before this dropping 'subtle' hints to Rob that a Christmas engagement was her only wish that year. On Christmas Day, like many other days off, Whitney spent the early morning in the park with her sister. When she came home, Rob was nervously waiting to surprise her. After tricking her into the thinking the gift was under the tree, out came a small box from his coat pocket. When Whitney turned from the tree, she found him kneeling. He PROPOSED!!
Whitney & Rob were initially prepared to have their wedding after their daughter was born. Not out of character for Whitney, she changed her mind and decided she would like to be married when their daughter arrived. Always supportive, particularly in the later months of pregnancy, Rob agreed this would be a wonderful gift for their first born. After a small ceremony with a few family members, they legally tied the knot. Whitney & Rob welcomed Avery Grace Schmellick August 15th, 2019. They are not only excited to be planning this wonderful event but to share it with all of the most important people in their lives.
