How We Met

10-25-2016

**Dating websites really do work** Rob reached out to Stacey through match.com believe it or not! He romanced her through the website and convinced her to go on a first date on 10-25-2016! They struggled with where to meet as it was Game 1 of the World Series the same night. Eventually, they decided on Woody's sports bar in Frisco. It was a packed house and as they walked in, Rob and Stacey ran into Stacey's friend Kara! (Stacey swears this wasn't planned) Kara was there with her parents (Todd and Monica) and her husband (Michael). Rob and Stacey quickly said hello and then found the only table left in the entire place. It was in the "Kids Karaoke" section. While listening to the ABC's being sung by toddlers was amusing, Rob and Stacey decided to join Kara and her family in the adult section. Stacey remembers hoping this wouldn't be too awkward for Rob, but she smiled as he effortlessly talked to some of her favorite people non-stop! She knew then he was a keeper! The evening was sealed with a polite good-night kiss and the promise of a second date!

The Proposal

08-07-2019

**The Road to Hana** Rob and Stacey had planned a trip to Hawaii with Rob's family a year in advance and were so excited when the time finally came to board the plane! Stacey had no idea Rob's parents would be arriving with the engagement ring Rob had designed just for her. Four amazing days had passed in Hawaii: romantic sunsets, festive luau's, and many beach adventures. Stacey thought to herself a proposal wasn't in the plans for the Hawaii trip , but Rob surprised her beyond her imagination!! That morning Rob left and said he had to go make a phone call about his car. At the time, Stacey didn't think anything of it. He was really calling her parents and getting the ring from his parents! The entire family packed up the 3 vehicles and headed to Hana! While it was an extremely long and winding road, the views were breathtaking along the way! The last stop, however, was the most beautiful and Rob definitely saved the best for last! Rob led Stacey away from the group to the edge of a cliff over looking waterfalls and the great Pacific. Stacey was admiring a gentle mist as the waves crashed against the cliff below. She turned around and Rob was down on one knee with the reflection of the sun in his hand shining back at her. This was it, he proposed!
