Camp Pringle is situated on the beautiful Shawnigan Lake. The closest airport is in Victoria (YYJ) but it is also possible to fly to Vancouver (YVR) and catch the ferry or float plane to Vancouver Island. We recommend renting a car to get around, we're happy to help our international friends and family coordinate flights, ferry reservations, and car rentals. We technically have enough accommodation onsite for everyone - however some of the cabins are quiet rustic (think bunk beds and no electricity!). There is also limited space for tents and small trailers. Rooms all have single beds and are bring your own bedding. If a camp setting is not your thing, there are also other accommodation options nearby. There are quite a few house rentals (check out AirBNB or VRBO) and bed & breakfasts or hotels in the area (Shawnigan Lake / Mill Bay). We will have a shuttle running around this area at the end of the evening to get you back home safely.

It is also possible to fly to YVR and take the ferry or float plane across to Vancouver Island.

Travel Note

BC Ferries

If you fly into Vancouver you can take the ferry to the island. The route you are interested in is Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Swartz Bay). PLEASE make a reservation for the ferry as the wedding is on a long weekend and there can be very long sailing waits.

Alternatively you can take a float plane to get to the island from Vancouver, it's a very cool experience and well worth it!

If your travel involves a flight we can help get you set up with spare sleeping bags, sheets, pillows, blankets or towels, just let us know in the RSVP. Once we know who all is staying on-site, we will be assigning beds and rooms. Please let us know if you have any special requests.
