The trail that the ceremony will take place will be in a wheelchair accessible location. It will only be a couple minute walk from the parking lot.
Our ceremony will take place outdoors on a scenic trail near Sedona, surrounded by the stunning red rocks and desert landscape. The setting is naturally beautiful—but also a bit rugged—so we encourage semi-formal attire that’s comfortable and suited for the outdoors. Since our wedding will be in late February, please keep in mind that it may be a bit chilly during the ceremony. We recommend bringing layers—a nice wrap, shawl, or jacket—that can be removed when we take family pictures after the ceremony. Since it is an outdoor setting, block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are recommended over stilettos or thin heels. There aren’t any specific colors you need to avoid, but please be mindful of the traditional colors typically reserved for weddings (for example, avoiding white or anything that might look bridal). We’ll also be taking photos after the ceremony, so consider wearing something that photographs well and complements the beautiful desert backdrop. Think of it as “elevated outdoor”—refined, comfortable, and ready for a touch of Sedona adventure.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE? Please plan to arrive by 7:15 PM. Olivia and Rob will arrive around 7:30 PM after finishing photos. WHAT TIME IS THE RECEPTION? The reception will take place from 6:00–10:00 PM in a private event space. WILL THERE BE DRINKS? Yes! A bartender will be available from 6:30–9:30 PM, serving a selection of wine, beer, and spirits. IS THERE OUTDOOR SPACE? Yes — we’ll have access to a private outdoor balcony throughout the evening. The balcony includes heaters and firepits for anyone who’d like to step outside and enjoy the night air. Please note that smoking is not permitted on the balcony. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Attire is semi-formal, the same as for the ceremony. While heaters and firepits will be available on the balcony, temperatures may be chilly after sunset. We recommend bringing a jacket or layers so you can comfortably enjoy the outdoor space.
