Our story technically started while we were both still in nappies! Our families have been friends since way back when. However, our love story really started on Matric Rage. Back then, we were adamant that we were "just friends" but our family and friends could all see the budding romance unfolding. Cue the many jokes and endless teasing! In 2014 we both set off for Stellenbosch University where we had 4 adventure and wine filled years. After a few world travels, we moved back to Durban and began our careers. In 2023, we decided to take a leap of faith and explore the option of moving to the UK. During our quick scouting visit, Rob finally grazed his knee and proposed on the scenic cliffs of Seaham. We moved to the UK in July 2023 and here we are. We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives and feel so blessed to be celebrating with so many of friends and family.

Rob had been planning this for some time. He had spoken to Lawrie, tactfully, after sun-downers on the river in Mtunzini while cleaning the boat. Some 2 months before heading on their reconnaissance trip to the UK. Rob decided it was in the UK where it would happen. After much deliberation with his future colleagues, he planned a hike through the cliffs of Seaham. Shortly after arriving back at the Hotel from work, he plucked up the courage to ask Luce if she would come for a "hike" with him. "No, I'm too tired." says Luce... Mission aborted... Another full day of waiting, Rob asked again, and this time she accepted. Off for the "hike" they went. Rob decided they were in the perfect spot. He told Luce to stand near the edge, battling the wind and cold, Rob positioned his phone atop a cow paddie and captured the event. She said yes!!!
