We met in a Level 3 Improv class at Dad's Garage in Atlanta in the fall of 2018. We became friends through the course of several more improv/acting classes and slowly got to know one another better. In February 2019 after our last acting class wrapped up, we went on an "accidental date." I (Kristen) was trying to plan a movie night with our group of friends, but everyone canceled except Rob throughout the day, so he offered to pick me up. I immediately said to myself "is this a date?!" -- turns out... it was! We were official a few weeks later, and the rest as they say is history.

Rob proposed where we had our first *spark* -- the Videodrome video rental store in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta! For context - a few nights before our first accidental date, we were with friends at our favorite neighborhood bar, Manuel's Tavern (which is across the street from Videodrome). After dinner, we all decided to check out Videodrome, and while there, we ended up flirting like middle schoolers for the first time in the horror section! Fast forward 2.5 yrs later to the proposal... the cover story for the night was that we were meeting my parents for dinner at Manuel's Tavern, but I had a *tiny feeling* earlier in the day that something was in the air. My parents said they were running late, so Rob suggested we stop at Videodrome first to "look for a documentary he wanted to watch." As soon as we walked in, Rob had one of our friends waiting inside to press play on our favorite song & record the moment. Obviously, my suspicions were confirmed at this point, and it was the sweetest and most perfect moment! Rob got down on one knee in the horror section and proposed, and after hugging people and being congratulated by the customers inside, we walked to Manuels where I was COMPLETELY surprised by an engagement party with several of my local family members and Atlanta friends. It was the perfect way to end the best night, and I can't wait to marry Rob and celebrate with our loved ones at the wedding!
