A baraat is a traditional Indian wedding procession that celebrates the groom's journey to his bride's home or wedding venue. It's a lively and colorful event that often includes music, dancing, and celebrations. There will be light breakfast starting at 9:00 am with the Baraat starting at 10:00 am. The Baraat will be outside. Attire: Indian or American formal or cocktail attire. For the Indian portion of the wedding, many people will be wearing Indian attire. 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
The Wedding Ceremony unites two souls spiritually, mentally and physically. The bond of matrimony is sacred and the ceremony of marriage is conducted according to Vedic traditions. The ceremony will be conducted in the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit and translated to English by the priest. Attire: Indian or American formal or cocktail attire.
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
A vegetarian, Indian buffet-style lunch will follow immediately after the ceremony. Attire: Indian or American formal or cocktail attire.
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
This will be a Christian, western-style ceremony. Attire: Indian or American formal or cocktail attire. For the Christian ceremony and the reception many people will be wearing American formal or cocktail attire.
5:30 pm - 11:30 pm
Join us for food, drinks, and dancing. This is the party to celebrate our wedding and to finish the weekend off with a bang! Attire: Indian or American formal or cocktail attire (and dancing shoes!)
