FAQs

Question

Dress code for Wedding

Answer

Black Tie Optional/ Formal attire. We kindly ask guests to wear formal evening attire in dark, solid colors only. Think classic and timeless. For men, this means black, blue, grey suits with a tie. For women, floor-length gowns, formal midi dresses, or elegant cocktail dresses are welcome. Solid colors only! Please avoid patterns of any kind (including florals), bright or neon colors, and casual or novelty pieces. When in doubt, choose something darker, simpler, and more refined.

Question

Dress Code For Welcome Party

Answer

For the welcome party, we’d love everyone to dress up, but with more flexibility than the wedding day. Think a dressy evening look that’s comfortable for a warm night in Seville. Women are welcome to wear dressy summer styles, including midi or maxi dresses and cocktail dresses. Men do not need to wear suits. Long pants with a button-down shirt work well, and short-sleeve collared shirts are absolutely fine. Blazers are optional, and ties are not needed. We kindly ask that guests skip very casual daytime clothing like shorts (including khaki shorts), t-shirts, jeans, sneakers, or sightseeing outfits. When in doubt, aim slightly dressier rather than casual and you’ll be perfect. We will have a photographer at the event

Question

Registry

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you and your presence truly means the world to us. We’ve chosen not to have a traditional gift registry. If you’re considering a gift, we would deeply appreciate a contribution to help us begin married life whether it goes toward our honeymoon, future home, or the many meaningful experiences we hope to share. Your generosity and support mean so much to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate together.

Question

Kids

Answer

While we love your kids, we will not be having children at the wedding.

Question

But what will I do with my kids?

Answer

We understand this may require some extra planning. Luckily, it's a city with several professional nanny and childcare services available. Many of the hotels we will recommend offer the option to arrange trusted babysitting when you book your room, just ask their concierge for details. If you need help connecting with local services, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to assist! In Seville, you can also find nanny and babysitting services through platforms like Sitly, Marypop, Babysits, and International Babysitters.

Question

Invitation Policy

Answer

If you didn't already know, this is an interracial LGBT wedding during Pride Month! Our wedding is a celebration of love, acceptance, and unity. We cherish being surrounded by people who not only embrace and honor us for who we are but also actively support equality, inclusion, and human rights. Because these values are central to us, we ask that our celebration include only those who stand firmly for the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ individuals and interracial couples, not just in words, but in actions. This means we respectfully do not wish to welcome those who have supported or enabled leaders or policies that threaten or seek to roll back these fundamental rights.

Question

Indoor/Outdoor

Answer

Ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Dinner and party inside!

Question

Temperature to Expect

Answer

Early June in Seville is usually warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures around 77–86°F. The wedding has a late start which is typical for Spain so we're hoping for a more mild and pleasant evening! Rain is very rare, but we’ll have backup plans just in case.
