It all started with toilet paper. Seriously. Briana and Rob matched on Hinge in January 2022, where Rob’s opening line was in response to Briana’s (very clever) question —of all things—about toilet paper. Does the toilet paper roll go over or under? This is clearly a make or break question when searching for your forever person. Briana took a cool 10 days to reply (commitment issues? maybe), so Rob decided to wait four days before responding. And thus, a relationship built on patience and petty was born. Despite the slow start, once they started talking, they never stopped. They spent hours on the phone every day, even while Rob was in Hawaii for work—though his best friend/boss probably wishes he had been paying a little more attention to the trip. Fast forward six months, and fate (and maybe a few mai tais) led to the discovery that Briana was pregnant with their first son, Jackson—while they were both in Hawaii, of course. Six months after Jackson was born, surprise! Logan was on the way. Now, nearly four years, two kids, and countless diaper changes later, they’ve decided it’s finally time to make it official. Better late than never, right?
