Question

Do I need to call the hotel for my room reservation?

Answer

No, your room has been reserved in your name and has been paid for in full.

Question

What about providing the hotel with a credit card for incidental expenses?

Answer

The hotel does not require a credit card on file for incidental expenses. If you would like to use hotel services during your stay (on-site restaurant, lake equipment rental, etc), you can give them a credit card at check in.

Question

What if I want to stay at the hotel longer? Or upgrade the room?

Answer

If you would like to change your reservation from what was booked, you can contact the Grand Ely Lodge by calling 218-365-6565 and asking for Margy or Tara. Any change in cost would need to be paid via credit card at the time of the change.

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

This is an easy one, we're not! We know you are traveling to be here and your presence is our present.

Question

The invitation says the wedding attire is casual. What is too casual?

Answer

No need for fancy dresses or suits! Just wear whatever you have that is nice.* It is summer so shorts are fine, but we can't control the weather in Northern Minnesota. It's possible it might not be shorts weather. :) *Please no t-shirts or flip flops.

What are the dinner options?

Answer

Your dinner choice should be texted to Autumn or Rob by 4/20. What you select will be provided to the restaurant and noted on your place card.

Question

Will there be an open or cash bar available at the dinner / reception?

Answer

No, there won't be any alcohol served in our event room. However, there is a bar in the hotel that you can purchase drinks and bring into the event.
