An online dating success story, we found each other in the late Spring of 2016 through a quirky dating app named, "Coffee Meets Bagel." Somewhere squarely between the wild wild west of Tinder, and the tame tranquility of Eharmony you can find Coffee Meets Bagel. A dating app that matches potential partners by criteria that you fill out when you create your account and then matches partners based off what they enter. After matching with each other, we started talking, shared social media profiles and really hit it off. The first date did not however include coffee or bagels, as I suggested to meet up in D.C. at Busboys and Poets for a lunch instead. We talked for hours on the first date and even walked to a nearby park after lunch. Ironically after having dated for two years we never revisited the same place or went to that park again despite the restaurant being wonderful and the park being very nice.
After two wonderful and fast years dating, in July of 2018 I proposed after recreating that very first date and "popped the question" in the very park where we went on that first date.Andy said yes! immediately and the last months have been a whirlwind...
