We met in 2016 when a film crew interviewed me for a documentary film. My friend, Chris Bombardier was going to be the first person with hemophilia attempting a Mt. Everest summit and Rob was producing and operating one of the cameras. Me, a sensible woman in my mid-thirties, thought he gave “young dude” energy (lol). We became friends. We lived in different states. He made me laugh. Then I got a job at the company where he worked. We became even better friends and then (kinda overnight), we fell in love.

On December 15th, 2016, I first showed up in Amy’s office with the rest of the Believe crew to interview her for the documentary, Bombardier Blood. She had on a purple puffy over her very professional attire and she immediately dropped an f-bomb while greeting us, which I thought was really cool. She then called out my turnout, and we bonded over our past lives in musical theater. We became instant friends. It would take us another two and a half years to realize we should date. And another two or three hours after that to realize that we should get married. …and then another three years (and an international pandemic) to get engaged. Now here we are!
