This story begins by thanking Mark Zuckenberg, as Rob and Alex actually met on a Facebook Dating App! After many messages, they had their first date in Lexington, KY, where they talked for hours over tacos and margaritas. Since then, they have quickly built a beautiful life together. Traveling the country, moving to North Carolina, and getting their puppy Duke (Fun Fact: Duke was born on the exact same day Rob and Alex met) are just a few of the many things they have shared together. Rob and Alex ended up getting their first place together in Huntersville, North Carolina. Rob wanted to ask Alex to spend the rest of their lives together at the place they started their new journey. One Saturday evening, Rob secretly rented out the club house at their apartment complex and invited some of Alex's closest friends in the area. Rob told Alex that he was boarding Duke for the evening so they could enjoy a romantic night out. However, as they walked into the club house, "Lover" by Taylor Swift was playing, and their puppy Duke greeted them at the door in his best tuxedo. Alex was overwhelmed by the support of her friends, Duke's happiness from seeing his parents, and the sight of Rob down on one knee.
