We said yes!

We met in passing at work. Brian worked on a transitional care unit for rehab (physical therapy!) as a clerk and Cory Lane worked the front office of that same company. While we both started in 2016, Cory Lane worked weekends and only came in during the week as needed which is why we hadn’t crossed paths for about a year before formally meeting. We’d only ever see each other’s name in our inboxes and once we did meet, the most we'd ever say to each other back then was "bye" as Brian left work early after skipping his lunch break, ha! Cory Lane: I remember one afternoon I was on the struggle bus trying to figure out how to replace waste toner for the first time in my life (I'm a certified pro now thank you very much). It was a couple of hours into my shift and Brian was leaving about to head out the door, so I waved him down for some help. He didn't know what to do either. To be fair we were both freshly out of college and hadn't worked an office or adult job before. I'm not sure why I didn't just google it back then but I'll give the younger version of myself a break. Brian and I didn't have a full fledged conversation till a couple of months after that when he started training me to take over his position. Who would have thought 7 years later we'd be where we are now. Ready for marriage, happy with 3 dogs, and living in our home of 2 years now :)
