**UPDATE** (10-02-2018) The weather has not been fully cooperating as of recent projected forecasts, be sure to bring warm close for whenever the sun is not out! It will get pretty chilly! Also do you sun dances now! ** Again, this is a Fall wedding, in Colorado, in the Mountains. Which means we really have no idea how the weather will be for our special weekend! :). As long as we have sunshine, which we usually do in Colorado - 300+ days / year of sunshine, plan on being warm and comfortable for the ceremony but please bring extra layers for when the sun goes down, around 6:30pm. Science tells us that temps in Basalt for October may range from low 70's to low 40's. Our large receptions tent has drop down walls and we will have heaters in the event the temperature becomes chilly.
There will be plenty of parking at the ranch, where both the ceremony and the reception will be, as well as the Welcome Party on Friday the day before the wedding. If you plan on drinking, it is completely fine o leave your car overnight at the ranch. Although we wish we could have afforded free rides for all to and from the ranch, this was just not an option. But, for the day of the wedding, we are providing discounted rides through LYFT, please use the code #BRUNETTE18 to help you get home safely after the reception! Both Lyft and Uber operate in the area and you should have cell service at the ranch.
Yes! It's not too often we get to dress up. Dress to impress! Dallenbach Ranch is located in a valley in Basalt and the sun does set a bit earlier behind the peaks. The weather should be relatively warm 70s or so, but it can get a bit chilly in the evening once the sun sets. Please bring something warm for evening or dress for fall attire. We are looking into heating lamps right now. For the ladies! The ceremony will be located on grass. The reception is held in a big tent with solid flooring. Slim heels may be tricky to walk around in outside the reception tent.
If you haven't already Googled it to check the distance from Denver or the airport, Basalt is about a 3 to 3.5hr drive from Denver/Airport. Just remember to take that into account for getting there, especially if flying in.
We love your kids, and we really enjoy every moment we get to see them! But our hope is that our wedding can be your night (or weekend) to enjoy off duty!
First look into the the town of Basalt as it is just a short drive from the town to the Wedding ceremony. There are a handful of lodges and bed & breakfasts in the town, also worth looking into Air BnB, VrBo, or other vacation rental properties in the town or within the area. The Bride & Groom will be staying in the town of Basalt. A few towns nearby that you might find great places to stay would be El Jebel, Snowmass, Carbondale, or Aspen. All within 20min of the ranch, with Aspen about 30 minutes from the Dallenbach Ranch.
Due to limited amount of people allowed at the venue, we will provide a "plus one" option on your addressed invite if you are able to bring a date. Thanks for understanding.
