We're Getting Married!

The two attended Drake University and were headed to a party in the Fall of 2009 with a large group of friends. They didn't know each other, but as the group walked through campus Liz found herself next to Ryan hungrily eating a burrito. Suddenly, he yells, "Wow, this burrito is delicious, but it is filling" and proceeds to chuck the burrito over his head. For those that are not aware of the film Anchorman, please do not judge Ryan's littering too harshly as we know a joke like this works 60% of the time every time, and this time it worked on Liz. Not only was she drawn to Ryan's charming smile and muscly physique, but he made her laugh. It was not until a few weeks later that Liz revealed to her good friend, Mary that she had a crush on Ryan and needed her help to gage whether or not he was interested in her. Let's just say the feeling was mutual and Mary played match maker. Thanks, Mary!! XOXO.

After ten years of dating the couple were engaged in Barcelona, Spain on September 16th, 2019. Following a day spent visiting the Museo Picasso, devouring jamón Ibérico whilst sipping sangria and dancing the night away at a disco tech Ryan decided to pop the question at 2 am in the middle of a Barcelona crosswalk. It was the perfect proposal for Liz; Ryan could not have chosen a better time or place.
