We have recently learned our caterer is not doing a choice of prime rib OR salmon but is providing BOTH for each guest! We believe this is exciting as both selections are delicious, HOWEVER, if this is an issue for anyone please let us know in advance and the caterer can accommodate a single entre selection

Is there parking on site?
Answer
Yes! There will be parking at the venue. You'll follow signs for the Rufo-Lilly Wedding!
Question
Can I leave my car at the venue and pick it up the next day?
Answer
Yes, this is allowed. However, Lauxmont has weddings all weekend and you will need to pick up your car by 8am the following morning!

Will I be able to get an Uber to/from the reception?
Answer
Probably not :/ Lauxmont is somewhat remote but still in Wrightsville, PA. Uber's can be hard to come by even in downtown York so you may find getting an Uber to/from the reception difficult. Because of this we are providing a shuttle between the Yorktown Hotel, downtown York, and our venue!

Can I bring my kids with me?
Answer
While we love everyone's children, we kindly ask you leave them with a sitter as we would like to keep this a child-free event (with the exception of the children involved in the wedding)!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will start promptly at 4pm! We encourage you to join us for the welcome toast and live entertainment starting at 3:30pm.

If I want to take the shuttle what time should I arrive?
Answer
The shuttle is leaving The Yorktown Hotel @ 3pm sharp. It will return to ferry guests back to the Hotel from the Venue. The return shuttle will be departing the Venue at 10:15pm sharp. Guests may park at the Market St. parking garage and you are NOT required to stay at the hotel to take the shuttle.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
Please RSVP by 10/6/23! We need to get your dinner selections to the caterer ASAP. We also encourage you to reserve rooms as soon as possible as well!

Can I check into my room at the Yorktown early? (Before the event)
Answer
Unfortunately, the Yorktown has not guaranteed us early check-in and it is best to assume this will not be available. We will provide more information on this as we get nearer the date and will make accommodations for luggage drop-off/transport.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes! We kindly request cocktail attire for the occasion!

Will this be an outdoor event?
Answer
Yes! Weather permitting we intend to capture the fall beauty of the Susquehanna valley.

Is there an alternate venue for inclement weather?
Answer
In the event of inclement weather we may have to relocate the ceremony to the tent on-site! If the forecast is calling for rain we still encourage you to bring an umbrella as there is an uncovered walk from the parking area to the tent. We may also choose to proceed with an outdoor ceremony with light enough rain or rain in the forecast.
