We're Getting Married!

"She Just Gets Me" One day just browsing on Facebook as a newly single man, I decided to message Ruth Reid. Immediately I said to myself, "She's Cute and Chocolate too. " Truth be told, I wasn't looking for anything serious, just a casual friend to know. Little did we know what we thought was "only casual" would turn into one of the biggest blessings of my life! We talked Day and Night. It was just something completely different than I ever had before. Our Courtship was more than dating unknowingly; we were building a bond that would be tried but not Broken! We prayed together every night before we went to sleep; after prayer, we would say Goodnight to stay on FaceTime the entire night watching each other sleep! Hahaha, every single night! Because we lived in two different states, we had to make the best of it with the time we did have. We were inseparable. While working in Newark, DE, I would leave work at 5 pm and travel 2 hours to NY to see her for a couple of hours and turn right back around to make sure I was at work by 9 am the next morning! When I tell you I had it bad, I had it bad. Ann made me feel like the luckiest man in the world. We traveled just about every month to a different state, and because of Ann, I got my passport after all these years! We developed a Love for travel and went to Jamaica and the Bahamas within our first year together. She was the complete opposite of anything I ever had. She honored me; she respected me; she esteemed me and flat out loved me. When I look in retrospect, I'm not sure why God allowed us to cross paths but, He remembered me and gave me exactly what I needed. I'll live out the rest of my life to show her how appreciative I am because of it! -Von
