"How many pictures are you going to take girl?!" That was my dad in what seemed like the longest moments of my life! About two excruciating minutes have gone by, my left knee was down, digging into the sand, and her ring was shaking in my hand, anticipating the moment my soon to be fiancee turned around. The plan was simple; my mom would ask Karla to take a picture of them and I would casually get behind her and kneel. The execution however, was far from it! The proposal was originally supposed to occur at sunset, but due to inclement weather, we had to move the timeline ahead two hours! It also seemed like all of Siesta Key knew what was about to happen. My sisters were in the background, phones ready for pictures, my brother-in-law taking video, and about a dozen of my mom's friends were hanging out in the perimeter. But when the moment came, when my beautiful fiancee turned around, all of the stress in planning for this perfect proposal suddenly vanished. I will forever enjoy this moment, the look of surprise and joy in her eyes, knowing that what she thought was a week of relaxation with the family, turned into one of the happiest moments of our lives!
