Question

Is there a dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! This will be a Formal event - we ask that everyone wears a suit & tie, and long dresses. Bright colors, especially green, is extra appreciated!

Question

Is there a dress code for the welcome party?

Answer

Yes! We want to celebrate the 4th - please try to wear your best red, blue & green! Dresses, khaki's & button downs are encouraged.

Question

When should I book my hotel room?

Answer

Immediately! The Mountain Top is already fully booked. But we have a great discounted rate at the Best Western nearby. All of the details for booking are in the Travel tab!

Question

The hotel blocks are full, where else can I book?

Answer

It happens, we get it! Don't worry, you'll still have a great time. We would recommend looking at some other hotels nearby - The Fox Creek Inn is the closest option to Mountain Top. There are also some AirBnB/VRBO's in the area (close drive to the venue).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults only event.

Question

Is there transportation to the welcome party friday from the hotels?

Answer

Yes! We are providing transportation to and from the Best Western to the welcome party on Friday. Shuttles will start leaving around 6:30 and bring you back at 10:30pm. If you are staying on site, there will be shuttles picking up guests at the main lodge starting around 7:15pm. If you drive to Mountain Top - you can get on one of the shuttles at the main lodge.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony saturday?

Answer

Yes! If you are staying on property, there are shuttles available to take you around. But a lot of the event is walkable. We recommend pre booking the shuttles Saturday afternoon for 3:45/4pm pick up. If you are staying at our other hotel block at the Best Western, we will provide transportation day of to the ceremony and home after the reception and/or after party. Shuttles will start departing by 3:45pm.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are very excited to celebrate July 4th with everyone at our welcome party. In addition to the ceremony and reception, we will also have an after party on property next to where the reception is held.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking right at the main entrance to the resort.

Question

Will I be able to get a ride share service/taxi to the venue?

Answer

No, there are no uber/lyft options in the area. There is parking at the venue, and there will be transportation provided for the wedding day from the Best Western.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We encourage everyone to try to arrive by 4:15pm, as we would like to get started on time at 4:30pm.

Question

We would like to travel before/after your wedding weekend, where should we go?

Answer

Our number one recommendation is Burlington, Vermont! It's where Robyn went to school and fell in love with Vermont. It's about a 1.5 hour drive from our venue, and absolutely worth spending a few days there. Feel free to ask Robyn for her Burlington to do list!

Question

We saw on Mountain Top's website there are some activities to do, should we book in advance?

Answer

YES! Please call Mountain Top at least a week prior to reserve any activities you are interested in. Not everything needs a reservation, but just call to ask.

Question

Is there cell phone service on property?

Answer

There is not much service around the property so please plan accordingly - when on site, please connect to Mountain Top's WIFI (you should see it pop up right away once you are in or near the lodge).
