Like all great tales, not much different than how the Marine Corps was formed, our story began in a bar. It was a business meeting set up by our mutual friend, Kevin Zimmerman. His goal was to convince me that Lindsey was going to be instrumental in helping our local chapter of Heroes on The Water raise money to help with operating costs. I wasn't exactly fond of her "been there done that" attitude and she wasn't exactly sold on my "wildly unrealistic", as she called it, ability to fill a room. Needless to say, we raised over $6,000 dollars on event night (and had 100+ people in attendance) marking the start of some very successful joint-fundraising ventures. From there it was only a matter of time before we became inseparable - and with every new event I was able to peel back another layer allowing me to see just how special Lindsey really is. From Lindsey: I've always heard the saying "opposites attract", but admittedly thought it was total bs ... until i met Ryan. After the HOW bar party we kept finding reasons to be in the same place. After a few years of friendship we realized we'd both caught feelings. I knew he liked me when he offered to buy and watch Star Wars Episodes IV-VI on our first official date. He knew I liked him when I agreed to wake up at 4am to go fishing in Miami on a Saturday morning! ...And the rest was history.
