We got you covered for the actual ceremony! But there is a fee if you want to visit the summit anytime before or after the wedding. You can also attempt a hike up there on your own!
While we love your little ones, due to our headcount limitations, our wedding will only allow children aged 12+ and nursing babies. We hope this advanced notice means you are still able to share our big day!
Dressy casual, smart casual, up to business casual. No jeans, flip-flops, or torn clothes. Wear comfortable shoes.
Arrive early! The gondola ride is 12 mins long, one-way. Bring/wear SPF - you will burn more easily at higher altitudes. It may also be sunny, so bring sunglasses or a hat. It may chilly/windy, so bring a shawl, sweat, coat, etc. Water will be provided at the summit ceremony. Stay hydrated to prevent altitude sickness.
All of the hotels we posted on our website are connected by a parking lot at base camp. They are all within walking distance of the gondola and reception hall.
If you plan on visiting multiple State Parks, consider purchase an annual Discover Pass for $35. This will get you free parking and entry into over 100 State Parks. The Discover Pass will NOT work at National Parks. https://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/ If you plan on visiting 3 or more National Parks (such as Mount Rainier National Park), consider purchasing an "America the Beautiful" pass from the NPS. The annual pass costs $80. An average per-vehicle fee at major National Parks is $30. https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm Research against your plans and see what works best for you! Crystal Mountain is a popular ski resort and is generally safe. However, the remote location of Crystal Mountain means everyone should exercise caution. Some parts of the road in and out do not have cell service. Always respect the environment, local wildlife, and your fellow adventurer. Drive carefully when ascending and descending the mountain. Obey all signage and listen to our venue coordinator.
Seattle, like any other major city, has aspects of it that can be disheartening. The difference is Seattle “feels” like a smaller city. So those aspects standout more. You will find encampments all throughout the city. Some taking up entire blocks. Others off the highways. They can even be just around the corner from a vibrant street filled with restaurants and mom-and-pop shops. We highly recommend walking with groups of two or more people or driving to whatever you’re trying to see. There’s plenty of parking all throughout the city. If you want to stay in Seattle proper, we highly recommend South Lake Union or Capitol Hill and avoiding the downtown area, especially near the Convention Center. South Lake feels like corporate DC/Tysons Corner/Arlington/North Bethesda as a reference for those living in the DC Metro area. Capitol Hill is more lively and fun. “Hip.” Featuring dive bars and restaurants and even a Cat Lounge. Otherwise, consider staying in Bellevue, Redmond, or Kirkland. Those towns are a short driving distance to Seattle.
