Our Story: Years ago I moved to Ashland, VA, little did I know I would meet the man I would spend the rest of my life with right down the street. RJ and I passed each other every morning on the way to work and shared a quick smile and wave. His truck was the first thing that caught my eye. With the light up dog box and jacked up lift - I was hooked! One evening I had a bit to much American Honey with one of my girl friends and she talked me in to finally talking to him. I couldn't wait until the morning so decided to write a note and walk down the street and place my number on his windshield. The next morning I received a text and not knowing at time, it would be for my last first date I would ever have. We moved in together a year later and added our fur baby to the family, DaisyMae!

Most people that know RJ and I know that our lives revolve around hunting season starting October thru December. Once main hunting season was over I wanted a weekend away just the two of us. As it came to my surprise he agreed to spend the weekend going winery and brewery hopping with me in Afton Mountain (he is not a wine person). I almost canceled our trip as they were calling for Snow but surprisingly RJ still wanted to go - I should have known then LOL. After making a few stops at Bold Rock Brewery and Silver Back Distillery we made a stop at a winery that I knew had a gorgeous view as I had been there before, called Valleyroad Winery. After doing a tasting, I asked RJ if we could go take a photo over on the Dock over looking the water and mountains before we leave. The Photo you see below is the photo right before he popped the question. I turned around to get a photo of the scenery one last time and said to RJ, "You can't beat this view, It is beautiful". He responded, "I know something that would make it even more beautiful!". I turned around and he was on one knee. The easiest yes I have ever agreed to and as many know I have been dreaming of this day for a long time and it couldn't have been anymore perfect. He then took me to my favorite Winery, Hazy Mountain Winery where we celebrated (Photo with the Barrel) and enjoyed the rest of our weekend together on cloud nine! He could not have made a more special and perfect moment and is something I will replay in my mind for the rest of my life.
