Out of Town Travel

With the majority of Sam’s family traveling, we wanted to expand on the travel options. For those coming from Mechanicsburg (2 hour drive) & Nutley (4.5 hour drive) driving may be the easiest option. For those traveling from farther away you have a few airport options. If you wanted to make a Memorial Day weekend out of it, we would recommend flying into Pittsburgh airport (2 hour drive to Windber) & spending Friday & Saturday night in Pittsburgh. Nick & Sam have TONS of amazing hotel, restaurant, things to do options. They truly love their city & would highly recommend checking out what Pittsburgh has to offer. Johnstown airport is a smaller airport option (airport code JST) that is a quick 15 min Uber ride away from the hotel. If you would like to make a weekend out of Windber, PA we recommend looking into an Airbnb on Indian Lake. A private lake 20 min away from Rizzo’s Restaurant.
