FAQs

Question

Do I need to wear something different to the chapel than to the reception?

Answer

Nope! Reception attire is totally welcome. The reception will follow shortly after the ceremony.

Question

Is there a "welcome party" the night before the wedding?

Answer

No formal welcome party, but many of the wedding party members will be heading to Reunion Hall in Haddon Township to have a drink or two and spend time with friends the night before the ceremony:)

Question

Are plus-ones and children allowed?

Answer

The Maynes/Rizzo clan is HUGE! We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family. Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those guests formally named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Question

Have you reserved hotel blocks for guests to reserve rooms?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved hotel space at 3 different locations- The Westin, Hilton Garden Inn and Suites, and Aloft. All 3 have specific links on our "Travel" tab.

Question

What's the attire?

Answer

Summer formal. Bridesmaids will be wearing blue and white floral and groomsmen will be in uniform or navy blue suits. All service members are welcome to wear their uniforms as well.

Question

How long will the ceremony be?

Answer

We are opting to host a Catholic mass as part of our wedding ceremony. The ceremony will be approximately 1 hour long. Confirmed Catholic guests will be invited to partake in the Holy Eucharist as part of the mass. All guests are welcome to worship with us and celebrate the sacrament.

Question

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Appetizers, dinner, and an open bar will all be part of our celebrations. We will not be having a formal "sit-down" dinner. A buffet of our very own Whole Hog Cafe BBQ will be served. We will have salad, mac and cheese, and many side options for all vegetarian guests.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

No- but they're within walking distance! The ceremony will be held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, and the reception will be held at The Haddon Fortnightly. The afterparty is just down the block, about 500 feet from the reception location.

Question

Where can I park for the ceremony?

Answer

Street parking is available, as well as the parking lot directly attached to the church. There is also parking behind Christ the King School, located directly adjacent to the church.

Question

Where can I park for the reception?

Answer

Street parking is available on Kings Highway and Evergreen Lane. There is also a parking lot across the street from the venue that is available for use (Mckauley Law Offices). You may also opt to park on Roberts Avenue (Maynes family street) and walk to the venue (about a 5 minute walk).
