Sara and Bryan were lucky enough to meet through mutual friends while Sara was finishing her doctorate program in physical therapy at the University of Missouri; two of their shared couple friends are now married as well! Bryan would find excuses to stay with friends who were still at Mizzou so he could see Sara on the weekends and their relationship shifted beyond friendship when he facebook messaged her, about 2 months after meeting, with a fake phone number claiming Sara forgot to fully give him her number... little did he know he used the area code of her parent’s new home, not her actual number. Thankfully, Sara chose to ignore that detail and humor him and the rest is history! Their relationship quickly grew as Sara relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas on a clinical rotation. Bryan visited her there while Sara came back to St. Louis to accompany Bryan as he adopted their beloved dog, Buddy. Finally 18 months in, Sara and Bryan were able to be in the same city when her final rotation brought her to St. Louis. Bryan and Sara developed their love for cooking together during this time, making Fettuccine Alfredo as their first big meal--even though they completely forgot the garlic (Sorry, Rizzolo fam...). Upon completion of Sara’s doctorate program, Sara and Bryan (and Buddy!) moved to Boston where they have spent the past five years expanding on their love of traveling, eating, and Sara learning obscure history facts from Bryan’s endless wealth of knowledge. After 5 years of dating and a year without traveling (Thanks Covid!) Sara, Bryan, her sister Stephanie and her husband Kevin travelled to Acadia National Park for a 5 day hiking excursion. It was on that first morning, a sunrise hike to Cadillac mountain, that Bryan proposed and the next chapter of their relationship began! They can’t wait to share this next adventure with you all!
