New Visa Requirements for Europe?

Please get your VISA at least 30 days prior to leaving for Europe. The link to apply is here: https://etias.com/etias-application Key ETIAS Facts for US Citizens Required for: Americans visiting Norway, Cyprus, and all 29 Schengen countries. Application Fee: €7 (about $8). Approval Time: Most applications are processed within minutes. Validity: Three years or until your passport expires. Multiple Trips Allowed: No need to reapply for every visit. Required Even for Transit: If you have a layover in an ETIAS country, approval is mandatory.

To be safe, make sure your passport expires after May 2026... The 6-month passport rule states that your passport must be valid for another six months before you depart for international travel.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

YES! We want our guests to dress to impress! We require all guests to be in semi formal/cocktail attire. Women should be dressed in gowns, and men in suits.

Are kids allowed?

Although we love your children, we are having a children free night! No children under the age of 13 will be able to attend the wedding.

Can I bring a guest?

Unless specified on your formal initiation, we ask that you do not bring a guest. We will only allocate seating arrangements for the guests who RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

The ceremony starts at 3pm. We ask that guests arrive by 2:30pm

What is the weather like in November in Portugal?

Early November in Portugal is lovely! Average highs are in the high 60s and low 70s.

Where should we stay?

Answer

This is all up to your preference! I prefer to stay in Lisbon prior to the wedding and enjoy the city! For the day of and after the wedding I recommend staying in Sintra for the convenience but again your preference! My venue Penha Longa is offering 10% discount if booked directly with them. We will have a list of recommendations for hotels and air bnbs :).

Question

I plan to explore the area before or after the wedding? How do i get around?

Answer

There is lots to explore not only in Lisbon and Sintra but all of Portugal! Ubers are very "affordable". If you want to explore other cities like Porto and the Algarve, their train system is really good. This will also be included in our recommendations :).
