What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Formal/Black tie optional. Men are encouraged to wear a suit, jacket, and tie or a tux; however, tuxes are not required. Women are encouraged to wear floor-length, shin-length, or ankle-length dresses. *There is no color code for the wedding. Lauren's bridal party will be in a mix of sky blue and buttercream yellow; however, other guests should not shy away from wearing those colors if they want to! Any colors are fine.

If you have a plus one, “and guest” will be indicated next to your name on your invitation.

Where can I find your wedding website password?

Answer

Our password is listed on your save-the-date and the invitations. Please remember to save one of these or take a photo of the invitation on your phone to keep the password handy when needed.

Do you have any hotel blocks?

Answer

Yes. On our "Travel & Accommodations" page, all hotels listed under the airport, and before the "Other Noteworthy Hotels" section have room blocks or a discount code.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 8th. There is no online RSVP option; please place your RSVP card (included in your invitation) in the mail before April 8th.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our ceremony and reception will be an adults-only event. However, if you have a really little one and there are extenuating circumstances (i.e., childcare has fallen through), please text Lauren.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your venue?

Answer

Most (but not all) of the hotels listed on our website are within walking distance from The William Aiken House. However, if you prefer to drive, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area.

What is the welcome party?

Answer

Attendance at the welcome party is not required, and we completely understand the difficulty of getting in town on a Thursday (we are just so grateful you are traveling to celebrate with us at all!). But, if you are in town and able to, please attend the Welcome Party on Thursday evening to kick off the weekend with us! Some drinks and light bites will be provided. If you do plan on attending the Welcome Party, please RSVP online in the "RSVP" page found above.
