We Eloped

Phil and Veronica met for the first time at Morgan and Slone's wedding in June 2019. Phil and Slone have been best friends since they were about 15. Veronica and Morgan are best friends and cousins born a year apart to the day. Morgan and Slone thought it would be very convenient if their best friends dated and not so silently schemed to get us together by having us walk down the aisle together as part of their wedding party. Unfortunately for them, they were so open with wanting us to date that we barely said a word to each other. With Veronica still living in Arizona at the time, nothing progressed. In February 2020, Phil and Veronica happened to be going to Vegas together with separate friend groups but ended up all hanging out together. We finally got to hang out and talk but again our friends were not very subtle, and Veronica was still in AZ, so again nothing progressed. During COVID, Veronica moved to UT and lived with Morgan and Slone. The closer proximity brought game nights, snowboarding trips and a friendship that eventually proved that sometimes your friends really do know best.
