Kimberly is originally from the Bronx, New York. Victor was born and raised in Chicago. Their story together begins through dance. Shortly after she moved to Chicago in 2012, they met when he auditioned for Chicago Touch. Kimberly, who by that time was already an experienced and established professional dancer, accepted Victor into the team after he submitted a humble bachata footwork video alongside a groomsman you might recognize. This video is still available on YouTube if you search “Bachata Men’s Footwork.” Over the years, their bond strengthened, and, at the right time, a romance arose. Fast forward to a new year in 2021, following a year full of uncertainty; Kimberly and Victor were enjoying a Sunday afternoon recuperating from the best man’s birthday celebration the night before when an overwhelming sense of anxiousness got the best of Victor. This led to a very spontaneous yet intimate engagement, perfectly descriptive of the soon-to-be newlywed’s relationship. Victor proposed to Kimberly in their living room over some of their fondest Sunday traditions like sopita from Jibarito’s on Harlem. He originally planned a day full of events beginning with a public proposal while ice skating. That was probably for the best because they only lasted on the ice for a handful of minutes, realizing their ice skating skills were pretty rough! Today, the bride and groom continue to grow both in their relationship and as individuals. Kimberly continues to be a leader in the dance community, inspiring the youth at After School Matters and consistently developing advanced dancers in Urban Vibe and Diosas. Victor continues to dance on Urban Vibe and enjoys coaching young wrestlers at Evanston Township High School, while also advancing his law enforcement career. Both are currently furthering their education, but, first and foremost, both are excited to share the day they become husband and wife with every one of you.
