The world’s most famous and biggest marathon happens in New York in November and attracts thousands of runners and visitors every year. The TCS NYC Marathon is organized by the New York Road Runners and is considered a goal of every runner (next to the Boston Marathon). The course is no walk in the park either and can be very demanding of the athletes. It starts in Staten Island, then runs through Brooklyn to Manhattan. So if you’re in New York during the Marathon, make sure to check it out and show the runners support! The crowd makes a huge difference and motivates the athletes.

The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. The High Line's design is a collaboration between James Corner Field Operations, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Piet Oudolf. The abandoned spur has been redesigned as a "living system" drawing from multiple disciplines which include landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology. Little Island, a new, free public Park pier within the larger Hudson River Park, opened to the public on May 21, 2021, providing New Yorkers and visitors from around the world with a unique green space unlike any other in New York City.
