Question

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony does not have a theme but our reception will be a masquerade ball. We would love it if you have a masquerade mask you’d like to bring, but we will be providing masks for guests as well.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are being held at Cedar Ridge Farms in York, PA. You can find the street address listed on both your invitation and our website. The ceremony will take place outdoors, and we will move indoors into the beautiful barn for the reception!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having a cocktail hour inside the barn available after the ceremony with light bites and beverages.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We have an experienced photographer capturing our day so we kindly request an unplugged ceremony. We want to see your faces, not your phones! We will happily share our professional images with you after the wedding and all guests are encouraged to pull out the cameras during the reception.

Are the ceremony and reception wheel chair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are both wheel chair accessible.

Can I bring a plus one? Can I bring kids?

Answer

Although we would love to host everyone, at this time we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. No children other than our nieces and nephews will be attending. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, we thank you in advance for your understanding!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Late October is typically cool in York, PA. We are expecting somewhere between 55° and 65°. Feel free to bring a sweater - but we will be providing blankets for all guests in case anyone gets a bit chilly during the outdoor ceremony!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire.

What type of shoes should I wear?

Answer

Please remember that our ceremony is taking place outdoors, so shoes that you are comfortable with walking on uneven surfaces is necessary. Additionally, our venue has strict policy requiring all guests shoes to stay on for the entire duration of the event, so ensure that you will be comfortable dancing the night away in whatever you choose to wear!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests are welcome to come as early as 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and is available on property at Cedar Ridge Farms. There will be signs in order to help direct guests to the appropriate parking spaces.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and ridesharing (Uber, Lyft) is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Do you have a hotel block? Do I have to stay there?

Answer

We do have a hotel block available for our guests! You can find more details under the “Lodging” page on this website. Of course, you are free to stay anywhere else you may like! We have have listed a few different hotels with a variety of price points and included a few Airbnb rentals for those who may be looking for something different.

What kind of food and beverage can I expect?

Answer

Hor’s d’ouerves will be provided immediately following the ceremony, followed by a full buffet dinner and dessert. Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks will be provided.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #SweptAwayByAnderson so that we can keep track of all of your photos!

How do I RSVP? When is the last day to RSVP?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by 9/18/2022

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so that we can plan accordingly.
