We Can't Wait to Celebrate with You!

Pat is originally from Fort Wayne, IN. He is the youngest of six brothers, three of which currently live in Michigan as well. He attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. After graduating, Pat worked at Wittenberg for a year before joining his brother's renovation business, Rittenhouse Brothers, and moving to West Michigan.

Sam is originally from Vermilion, OH. She has one sibling, Alex, who is her older sister and Maid-of-Honor. She moved to Michigan to attend college at Grand Valley State University. After college, she was brought on full-time in the Purchasing Department at Pridgeon & Clay in Grand Rapids and has continued to live in the area since.

Sam and Pat met online in 2020. Typical Millenials. Their first conversation was over a highly intellectual topic...their shared love for New Holland Brewings Pepperoni Pinwheels.

After all the talk of Pepperoni Pinwheels and their restlessness from the state's lockdown, Pat and Sam planned their first date at New Holland Brewing. It was love at first bite.

Pat and Sam were engaged on October 7th, 2021. After a day exploring the Hoover Dam, a run-in with an Army veteran and her injured dog (shoutout Tiffany and Liberty), and beautiful hike(s) down the Arizona Hot Springs Trail, Pat popped the question overlooking the Colorado River. Given the events of the day and Pat's pragmatism, Sam was very surprised to see a ring make its way across the country, but emphatically said yes!
