We are so excited to share some of the places we love in our neighborhood. Obviously, most of the things below are about food. (Um, have you met Rob?) One of our favorite activities is just walking along the Hudson River. From both hotels, it is about a 10 minute walk east to the river. We recommend taking a left at the river so you can admire the views of Manhattan as you walk north. Of course, it is a super easy and quick Path ride into Manhattan. If you plan to head into the City and want some ideas of what to see, do, or where to go, please reach out to Rob. We are including some restaurants for those who arrive on Friday and want dinner options. We are also including lots of breakie/brunch/coffee places for Saturday. Liberty State Park

Beautiful park to walk around, literally on the Hudson River with the best views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Ferries to the Statute of Liberty leave from here.

Kanibal & Co.

If you're looking to shop, Kannibal is a really cute NJ store with a variety of items, from Jersey City themed products, to candles, greeting cards and much more.

Gaia & Loki

This is a vegan restaurant with gluten free options, and the food is really wonderful.

Razza

Razza was named best pizza in the U.S. by the New York Times. We eat here at least once a month. All the pizzas are amazing. We especially love the funghi one. You must order sourdough with butter as an appetizer. Simply outstanding. Reservations open in the Resy app 3 weeks in advance and they go in a snap, so plan accordingly.

The Kitchen Step

One of our favorite restaurants. Great cocktails and amazing food. We love the kale caesar salad and the zucchini fries.

Satis Bistro

Satis is another favorite of ours. The Brussel sprouts appetizer is our go-to, and Satis is our favorite place in Jersey City for French fries.

Franklin Social

Rob had his 50th birthday soiree here. Great drinks and elevated bar food.

MOJO Coffee

Mojo just opened several months ago. Really good coffee, and they have wonderful baked goods in the morning.

Prato Bakery

Good coffee. Phenomenal cantuccis, a/k/a biscotti. Very worth a visit for the cantuccis.

The Hive

The Hive started in Hoboken and went viral for their cinnamon rolls. They sell out early, so if you want this treat, we suggest getting there by 8:00 a.m.

Alfalfa

Truly wonderful salads and wraps. They also sell gluten free donuts, cookies and brownies, all of which are really good.

Hybrid Coffee & Kitchen

Hybrid is great for coffee and breakfast.

Gussy's Cafe

Gussy's is one of our go-tos for weekend lunch. Wonderful sandwiches and lots of coffee options. They also have really good fries and a delish pomegranate lemonade.

Daily Provisions

Daily Provisions started in Manhattan as an off-shoot of Union Square Cafe. They now have multiple locations, and the Jersey City one just opened several months ago. If you enjoy a cruller, you NEED to go here.

Maggie's Farm Espresso

88 Morgan Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302

Maggie's Farm is another regular weekend lunch stop for us. Wonderful salads and good coffee. They also do breakfast.
