Long story short: we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the grace of God and the Chaffee Matchmaking Company (not a legit business, but if it was... we would give them five stars.) Charity and Ethan Chaffee (sister and brother-in-law of the bride) encouraged us to get to know each other, and because of them we began emailing in March of 2018. After graduating high school that year, Rissa moved to New York and we quickly became friends. That summer and fall, we spent lots of time hiking, playing the piano together, and spending time with our families. We officially started dating on December 1, 2018.

Morgan showed up at Rissa's front door at 8:30 a.m. on February 15th. Eight hours before he was supposed to pick her up for our date to Olive Garden. He planned out the sweetest day, full of her most favorite things: road trips, Reese's peanut butter cups, Dr. Pepper, and Niagara Falls. God really does write the best love stories :)
