We met through working together at T.C. Knapp Elementary. We were best friends for years before one day Daniel asked Kayla to be his girlfriend in a Christmas card that said "just like what one of my first graders would do....would you be my girlfriend? Circle Yes or No" (spoiler, she picked yes).

In November 2022, we took a weekend trip to New York City where Daniel popped the question! We had dinner at an Italian restaurant in the Theater District and saw Funny Girl on Broadway. Daniel proposed to Kayla at the end of the evening overlooking the city.
